Make exposure tests easier.
A UV light meter is a device that measures the intensity of ultraviolet (UV) light. Getting the current data on what UV intensity of your printer will help you adjust your printing settings better.
UV-curable 3D-Printing resins, which means that they have a specified reactivity to light. This reactivity controls how the resins behave in the printer. Specific parameters about its reactivity are the Critical Energy (Ec) and the Depth of Penetration (Dp),
Reactivity to light is measured by exposing the resins to different doses of energy (Exposure), in most cases, this is controlled by increasing the exposure time in the 3D printer. Then the layer thickness of the cured resin is measured and plotted versus the corresponding energy input, as seen in the figure below. source from liqcreate
What to do with a UV meter?
Record light strength and uniformity
You can compare the different data between different accessories like FEP, nFEP, and screen protector films. different areas like the center and corners, then adjust the setting to get a similar print quality.
Find dead pixel
There may be dead pixels we can’t see on the screens, but it causes some print fail, especially when you try a lot of different settings and still don’t get a successful print.
The light will decay based on long-term work; for a resin 3d print farm, it is necessary to test if your printers keep the best status. You may adjust PWM or use higher exposure time when decay happens.
Make exposure tests easier.
The resin curing time depends on the strength of the UV light source and temp. Once you know how it relates between exposure time and light strength, you get the right direction to do the exposure test.
Different wave light source works with different curve. Our sensor can actually get data with 380-440nm; we added a filter and edited the firmware to make it more accurate with 405nm.

Happen to see Chitu sell this and get one, shipping is fast and packaged well; now I can check if there are dead pixel on screen once get a fail print,

It is much cheaper than other light meters and works great for my resin printers. Get the same data as the one I used before, which is about 200 dollars. keep moving chitu systems!
