6.08 inch DXQ608-04 mono LCD kit for Elegoo Mars and Mars Pro
You can Download firmware here.
You only need to update the .CBD file and .SH4 file.

In our test, this kit also fits well on Mars, , Mars uses a different UV LED Light so the print quality is not that good.(similar to original Mars but better in speed)
For Mars 2 or Mars 2 pro, it comes with mono screens, no need to upgrade.
For Anycubic OG photon, you have to replace a new board too.
Why upgrade?
The original ELEGOO Mars and Mars pro come with the Sharp04 screen, which is 5.5 inches 2K RGB LCD, since 2018 there are Mono LCD coming out, and it is been widely used during 2019, the Phrozen sonic Mini, Anycubic Photon mono series, and ELEGOO mars 2 series. we also write an article about RGB vs Mono, you can check here.
Now, most new resin 3d printers come with Mono screens, and even with 8K level resolutions.
In General, the Mono screen has 3 advantages compared with the RGB LCD.
Faster printing speed
The mono LCD has a better UV light transmittance, which means when you use the same resin, it takes less time to make it cure, and in the Chitubox setting, you will only need an exposure time of around 2.5s. In RGB LCD the exposure time is about 8s~12s. Each layer saves you a few seconds, if you are printing a large file, it is much faster.
More durable in lifespan
The mono LCD has a process optimization, which makes the screen can run in the long term under the UV light, it is suspected to work over 2,000 hours. and the RGB LCD can only work about 200 hours.
Better contrast ratio
The mono screen is designed for 3d printers, it also considers the usage of 3d printing technology, a better contrast ratio means you will get better details on the models, especially in sharpness.
For ELEGOO MARS /MAR PRO:

Adjust the settings on CHITUBOX
You can use the setting of Mars 2 Pro directly after upgrading this kit,
The actual printing size will be bigger than 5.5 inch but not reach 6.08inch after modifying, please use this setting below.

I was offered this item by Elegoo for Review as I was looking for older screen, took me a while to get around to it, But long story short its amazing, its not much harder to install than changing the screen and now I feel like I have a brand new more recent printer for a fraction of the cost that print faster and will last longer. I will be buying a second one as soon as I run out of screens for my other printer

You can buy the normal DXQ608-04 screens once this kit is dead, it is cheaper to buy a single screen replacement. happy printing!
