6.08 inch mono LCD upgrade kit for Anycubic Photon S
If you buy this kit, no need to update the firmware. the v2 board comes with the right firmware to support the new mono screen.

If your Z-axis direction is not right, please edit the parameter or print this file directly.
Why upgrade?
The original Anycubic Photon S comes with the Sharp04 screen, which is 5.5 inches 2K RGB LCD, since 2018 there are Mono LCD coming out, and it is been widely used during 2019, Phrozen sonic Mini, Anycubic Photon mono series, and ELEGOO mars 2 series. we also write an article about RGB vs Mono, you can check here.
Now, most new resin 3d printers come with Mono screens, and even with 8K level resolutions.
In General, the Mono screen has 3 advantages compared with the RGB LCD.
Faster printing speed
The mono LCD has a better UV light transmittance, which means when you use the same resin, it takes less time to make it cure, and in the Chitubox setting, you will only need an exposure time of around 2.5s. In RGB LCD the exposure time is about 8s~12s. Each layer saves you a few seconds, if you are printing a large file, it is much faster.
More durable in lifespan
The mono LCD has a process optimization, which makes the screen can run in the long term under the UV light, it is suspected to work over 2,000 hours. and the RGB LCD can only work about 200 hours.
Better contrast ratio
The mono screen is designed for 3d printers, it also considers the usage of 3d printing technology, a better contrast ratio means you will get better details on the models, especially in sharpness.

This kit comes with a Chitu L V2 that supports 6inch mono LCD.
You only need to follow our installation video.

Overall, I am happy with the upgrade.
The quality of the prints was not significantly improved, only in very small details you can see improvements in definition.
The biggest positive aspect for me are the decreased printing times. With a reduction of exposure times from 7.0s to 1.4s the total printing times were reduced by around 35%.
Sadly, the Chitu L V2 board is not fully compatible with the touchscreen of the Anycubic Photon S. After the upgrade, the touchscreen shows scan lines which while do not inhibit the touch functionality, are still quite annoying. I had to buy a new touchscreen (which is a newer revision – v3.10 – in relation to the original v1.0 that came with my printer) to solve that issue. The seller should have properly disclosed this fact and preferably already offer a kit with a replacement touchscreen (even if they need to charge more for it).
The UI that comes with the upgrade kit is also quite generic and crops out the layer count information.

In chitubox have set up as elegoo Mars 2 Pro, and change the screen size, as the seller suggested.
Can be bad contact issue but now until the display touch improved.
Super satisfied with the result of printer.
